Description
The Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking to fill a Principal Administrative Assistant position at the Adult Correctional Facility (ACF). This position is responsible for the development and management of the ACF budget, contracts/grants, policy and procedure review, and oversight of financial approvals. This position will also be responsible for the supervision of ACF administrative staff and serve as a member of the ACF Management team. Location and hours:
This position will be performed on-site at the Adult Correctional Facility at 1145 Shenandoah Lane North, Plymouth, MN 55447. Work Hours will typically be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

In this position, you will:
· Oversee divisional performance measurement and financial strategic planning activities, review monthly financial revenue and expenditures and, notify ACF leadership of identified impacts to the budget or forecast.
· Develop, prepare, present, and manage the division budget along with the bi-annual forecast.
· Prepare and perform monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and transactions, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and year-end activities according to standardized governmental methods and procedures.
· Perform various financial analysis and create ad-hoc reports.
· Plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate complex projects and participate on special projects as requested and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
· Manage contracts, solicit vendors proposals, draft and assist in proposal preparation
· Oversee and manage all financial banking transactions, accounts receivable, capital assets and perform internal audits for ACF, report discrepancies
· Administer grant funds.
· Supervise purchasing and purchase card, approving purchases.
· Assess and report ACF inventory.
· Interpretation and applicability of Statutes, Laws, Federal & State Rules, GAAP to ensure compliance and review and/or develop policies and procedures for ACF staff.
· Supervise administrative staff.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Nine or more years of experience in general administrative work related to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.
o Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, accounting, corrections administration, criminal justice, public administration, or other field appropriate to the position and five or more years of experience related to the position.
· Note: General administrative work is defined as the administration and/or management of programs, policies, and/or budgets.
