Description The Child Protection Services Area is seeking Case Management Assistants to join their team. The Case Management Assistants will be transporting children to appointments, visitations, shelters, and other destinations. Location and hours: These positions are hybrid and will work at the Richfield Service Center at 6625 Lyndale Avenue South, Richfield, MN with work remote work as job duties require. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 12:30 pm – 8:00 p.m. with required flexibility to meet transport needs with early morning and weekends as needed. While these positions are designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin. New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022, to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment. Safely transport children to and from appointments scheduled by child protection social workers
Document case notes in Social Services Information System (SSIS) within 48 hours of the transport
Collaborate with social workers, providers, and other professionals to ensure transportation needs are met
Perform confidential case managing
Attend and participate in team meetings and all required trainings
Need to have:
One of the following:
Two years or more of responsible, paid social service experience providing direct client service.
Two years or more of college coursework in the behavioral sciences.
A two-year human services certificate.
A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit and access to reliable transportation on a frequent basis to transport clients and to attend community events.
Nice to have:
Experience with:
Using databases and performing data entry where accuracy is essential
Using SSIS, electronic filing systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams)
Working with child protection services and programs
Bilingual candidates who pass a language assessment may qualify for additional bilingual pay and duties.
