KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Next Gen Worship Intern exists to provide Grace Church Kids, Students, and Young Adult Ministries with ministerial support and to be a place of development, collaboration, and real-life ministry experience. The duration of this internship is May-August, with start and end dates flexible based on university schedules. This internship will work closely with the varying next gen ministry staff and will provide support in multiple areas across the kids, students, and young adult departments. Responsibilities include:
Leading of worship services in various spaces i.e., kids and students.
Assisting in the creation and design of service elements i.e., tracks, ProPresenter, PCO, song selection, etc.
Collaboration with Kid’s Worship Manager on kids related events/services (NXT Up, VBS, etc.)
Collaboration with NXT Worship Manager & Associate on NXT (students) related events/services (summer worship nights, camp, etc.)
Develop skills in soundboard mixing, lighting, and general production-related areas.
Participate and contribute to worship-related meetings, shadowing varying next gen staff in leadership and ministerial skills.
Be actively engaged and present with all kids/students, leaders, and volunteers—both on and off the stage.
Lead worship for other ministries as assigned i.e., Re:generation, Sunday mornings, Young Adults, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS
Some experience in leading worship and comfortability with being on stage.
Willingness to learn various software such as Ableton, ProPresenter, and Planning Center Online.
Willingness and drive to be organized and thorough in administrative work.
Ability to self-motivate, innovate, and work independently as well as with a team.
Willingness toward developing new skills and new experiences.
