What You Will Be Doing
The SVP, Relationship Officer is responsible for building and maintaining a profitable and risk-appropriate portfolio of loan and deposit clients.
How You Will Get the Job Done
Business Development: Consistently achieves results, meeting or exceeding production goals and metrics (loans, deposits, and fees) as outlined in stated goals. Shows a strong ability to independently identify and develop the Bank’s largest and most complex loan relationships, as well as deposit opportunities. Identifies Treasury Management opportunities and assists the team in building mutually beneficial relationships with the Treasury Management Officer.
Risk Management: Responsible for the periodic review of borrower financial reporting and regular account monitoring for compliance with reporting requirements and covenants. Works with the team to ensure ticklers, borrowing bases, and electronic credit files are up to date and accurate. Operates with broad latitude for credit decisions. Demonstrates strong expertise and experience with the loan process. Confidently coordinates accurate documentation of all components of the approved credit accommodation, including perfection of collateral. May partner with bank counsel on complex credits and structures.
Relationship Management: Manages a portfolio of sophisticated clients and prospects. Maintains exceptional client service consistent with our Client Service Standards (defect-free, timely, and caring). Works with Credit Officers and Analyst to prepare credit presentations and is responsible for the content included. Ensures the credit presentation sufficiently and appropriately summarizes the analysis of repayment sources using a risk-based approach (aligned with our Credit Policy).
Analysis & Underwriting: Oversees and contributes to historical and projected business and personal cash flow, global cash flow, collateral analysis of real and personal property, understanding/analysis of economic and competitive environment of the borrower and/or industry, recommending appropriate covenants, and monitoring of the credit accommodation.
Collaboration: Partners with other sales professionals on calls and in closings to ensure client experience aligns with our Client Service Standards. Serves as an expert resource and provides guidance for other Relationships Officers, Analysts and Loan Administrators within the team. Works collaboratively across credit and lending teams to identify opportunities for enhanced client service.

Professional & Educational Experience You Bring:
A Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or University with emphasis on business or finance and a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial lending; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Local and infrequent overnight travel is expected for this position
